Even after all the noted history regarding healthcare customers as moving away from a Customer-Owned Goods format and on-premises laundries, it is going to be non-issue unless there are also cost savings in converting to a linen rental service. In order to help you determine the real cost of operating your laundry room, we assembled this list to allow you to correctly determine the true cost of a laundry room versus a linen rental scenario.
The cost of operating a laundry are often difficult to realize because they are dispersed across many departments such as maintenance, housekeeping, general labor, and utilities. Purity Linen Services has designed it’s business to obtain the best possible utility usage, achieve the highest possible productivity, and in doing so deliver the most cost-effective price to customers.

Many of our customers do not have the space or workload to support the large equipment necessary to process linen to a high degree of efficiency and the lowest possible production cost, but when multiple organizations outsource their laundry services to a linen rental vendor, our customers can take advantage of these efficiencies.
Our facility is approximately 50,000 sq. ft. in size, and in 2012 we employed over 100 people in our workforce, production, maintenance, specialty services, and transportation. We have multiple redundant systems (washers, dryers, boilers, and compressors) to ensure the delivery of our products. We even have a 750 kW backup generator in case the region loses power. In 2012 we shipped out 17 million pounds of linen to our customers.
